Call It Off
Soil, Soil
Hop a Plane
i think this ends the chapter of uncertainty seen in 'hop a plane' and 'soil, soil'. You realize you really should not hurt herself by waiting forever for someone who possibly might never come around, so instead of waiting to be heartbroken what you do is you break it off with the person yourself. You know that it will be better for you in the end, even if you may doubt your decision now.
this song, to me anyway, gives off a feeling of like "i know this will never work out but it's worth waiting for". Maybe i'm entirely wrong but it's just my take on it. Like, you think you've found that person that you want to spend your life with and she just sort of doesn't realize that everything she does affects you. Whether it be for the best or worst. Yet at the same time, no matter what she does, in your heart you know that you truly do care about her and you're just sort of waiting and hoping for the day she sees that everything you do, you do it for her. Even though you're unsure of what she feels and her feelings towards you.
uncertainty at it's best...or worst. i suppose it depends on how you look at it. You are possibly seeing this person. but the other person won't say whether you're dating or just friends, or something else, and she probably said that she needed time to think about it. "you take a second take a second, take a year take a year" and so you, really liking this person, just want to hear that you're not together so that you can move on with your life, rather than have the pain of wishful thinking.
**just my take on these three songs**
